Place of Death from Cancer
This report examines the place of death among patients dying from cancer in Scotland. The information supports Scottish Government policy and particularly the Living and Dying Well Action Plan, which aims to ensure that palliative and end of life care needs are recognised in all care settings.
The information is broken down by age, sex, marital status, and deprivation quintiles (SIMD2006). On each worksheet are the numbers of deaths, and the same information presented as percentiles within the demographic characteristic, and within the different place of death.
Information is presented for all malignancies combined, and for the four main cancers, for all of Scotland.
