Prescribing Summary Statistics Visualisation
ISD collects information from all prescriptions dispensed in the community, and the headline figures (or "Summary Statistics") are presented here to provide easy interactive access to the data. A video on how to use the dashboard can be found below.
Volume of prescriptions is colour-coded blue. Cost of prescriptions is colour-coded orange.
How to use the Dashboard
Data are obtained from NHS prescriptions dispensed in the community in Scotland. These are dispensed by community pharmacies, dispensing doctors, specialist appliance suppliers and stoma providers.
In Scotland, the gross ingredient cost is the cost of drugs and appliances reimbursed, at list price.
