Other Therapeutic Staff and Personal Social Care

This section provides information on other therapeutic staff and personal social care in NHSScotland. Figures are sourced from the Scottish Workforce Information Standard System (SWISS) and describe those staff assimilated to the above Agenda for change job families, and those staff not yet assimilated but where a Other therapeutic staff and personal social care staff group has been identified from their current pay scale.

Throughout, information is presented as headcount, employments or whole time equivalent (WTE). WTE adjusts headcount staff figures to take account of part-time staff.

Within SWISS Clinical Psychologists are classified under the job family 'Other Therapeutic' and sub job family 'Psychology'. This job sub family includes Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, Counsellors, Assistant Psychologists, Clinical Associates, Trainee Clinical Psychologists and Trainees completing an MSc in Applied Psychology.
