The final New Ways National Event will take place at the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre on Wednesday 29 August 2007. The programme is being finalised and will be available shortly. An Introduction to New Ways for NHS Staff and Contractors: Update

The leaflet ‘An Introduction to New Ways’ has now been circulated to all GP Practice Managers via the General Medical Services Practice newsletter . The leaflet has also been circulated to General Dental Practitioners and Ophthalmic and Optometric practitioners, enclosed with their July schedule of payment.

New Ways Data Warehouse Working Group (NWDWWG)

Following on from the Business Objects Development Day on 1 June, a working group has been established to help agree the final stages of development for the New Ways data warehouse. The first meeting of this group is to be held on 30 July. The agenda for this meeting is available on the Data Warehouse section of the website and a note of the meeting and discussion papers will be made available after the meeting.

 

New Ways Guidance on the Recording of Main Operation, Location Code and Provider Code

A number of queries have arisen around the recording of main operation, location and provider code for New Ways. To help clarify these issues Kate Harley. Head of Programme has written to Information Managers across NHS Scotland. A copy of this letter is now available on the Guidance section of the New Ways website .
