The Joint Future Unit was set up by the Scottish Government in 2000 to provide better and more integrated Community Care services by developing joint working between Local Authorities, NHSScotland and other organisations. 

The Joint Future topic area is being developed to support this aim, by providing statistical information from ISD and elsewhere in the area of community care.
