Notes:
1. Recent changes in incidence of ovarian cancer may be caused to some extent by changes in classification. Cystadenomas of the ovary were coded as neoplasms of uncertain behaviour (ICD-9 236.2) until the introduction of ICD-10 and ICD-O-2 in 1997 and have been coded as malignant cancer (ICD-10 C56) since.
2. Survival figures are not age standardised.
3. Change in incidence and mortality is estimated by Poisson regression.
