Current awareness of various facets of the diagnosis, treatment, prevalence and prevention of stroke may be found in the following internet links. These are offered as indicative examples of potential sources of information on stroke. Access to journal articles may require a subscription to obtain full details of any specific articles although some 'free access' articles and papers may be available. ISD Information Services:

• Coronary Heart Disease & Stroke Newsletter - a quarterly newsletter that summarises the current work of our Programme.
• Media Monitoring  service    - summaries of health-related stories from the Scottish daily press.

Scottish Stroke Care Audit (SSCA):

•  National Report on Stroke Services in Scottish Hospitals (data relating to 2005/2006) published in June 2007.

Charities & Voluntary Organisations:

•   Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) have developed chest, heart, stroke and general resources to assist with undertaking  education & training.

Journals:

•  Cerebrovascular Diseases   - including details of the the 26^th European Stroke Conference held in Glasgow in May/June 2007.

NHS Scotland :

•   e-Library  - offers access to shared work spaces for different topics, including stroke. You may need to register  for an ATHENS username and password to access
