ISD Scotland collects data on the number of patients treated for Stroke and the procedures they receive. This together with data on deaths (supplied by GRO Scotland)  allow us to monitor the mortality, incidence and treatment of Stroke. As part of the management of this data set ISD Scotland provides a Data Quality & Assurance Service  that ensures conformity and standards across NHSScotland.
