Setting up and running of trials
The Cancer Clinical Trials Team (CCTT) offers assistance in conducting clinical trials by providing information, data management and randomisation services. During early stages of trial set up the CCTT will provide statistical advice on study design. Once trial protocols have been approved and adopted into the portfolio of the National Cancer Research Network and have been approved by the appropriate ethics committee CCTT will undertake coordination of the trial. The roles adopted by CCTT are: full administration and data management of a trial; ensuring all information is disseminated as appropriate; providing assistance to clinicians and other clinical staff wherever possible; to aid in final analysis of the trial; and if required the provision of a dedicated randomisation service.
