PCSMR
Support for PCSMR will stop at the end of March 2011. Please ensure you have plans in place to transfer from PCSMR to another system before this date.
The core PCSMR system allows the creation, amendment and deletion of Outpatient, General Inpatient and Daycase, Maternity, Waiting List, Mental Health, Neonatal and Geriatric Long Stay SMR's (Scottish Morbidity Records).
PCSMR maintains its own patient index and is able to provide historical information, reports and labels. Reference files and tables are held within the system, for procedure codes (ICD10), operation codes (OPCS4), purchaser/provider codes, Scottish GP's, location and specialty codes. All of these reference files can be updated locally. In addition all UK postcodes are held on the system and national validation is performed on data items via the SCI Validation Enginge.
The PCSMR (also known as PCSMR32) system is currently operational at over 100 hospitals in Scotland.
