Injuries in children - Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs) by deprivation (Page 1 of 2)
Figure 3 and
table 9 shows emergency admissions due to Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs, now increasingly referred to as road traffic crashes) by deprivation quintile. This shows a marked difference in the standardised discharge ratio across deprivation quintile. Rates for emergency admissions are more than twice as high in the most deprived area (151.7 in deprivation quintile 5) compared with the least deprived area (68.0 in deprivation quintile 1).
