table 15 show the top ten main diagnoses for adults who were admitted as an emergency following an unintentional injury in the home.

Fracture of the femur is the most common type of injury in the over 75s and females are over four times more likely to have this type of injury than males. Generally, all other injuries in the top ten relate to various types of fractures and injuries to the head.
