NHSScotland Workforce Statistics updated on Scottish Health on the Web (SHOW).
Information Services (ISD Scotland) of NHSScotland, today updated this web site, accessible via: http://www.isdscotland.org/workforce
The release includes information on the number of consultants employed in NHSScotland.
KEY POINTS:
- Quarterly consultant figures show that at 30th June 2006, NHSScotland employed 3,582.4 whole time equivalent consultants, an increase of 16.8 (0.5%) from 31st March 2006, when the figure was 3,565.6 whole time equivalent.

· From 2005 consultant staff in post figures are published quarterly. - This is an ISD Scotland National Statistics release.
