Patients registered with practices, by NHS board and age group

The tables below shows the age distribution of patients registered with practices in each NHS board, as at 1 October 2007.

The calculation of average practice list size for Scotland, NHS Forth Valley, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and NHS Lothian, excludes a small number of specialist service practices that, by their nature, have a small patient list size.

1 Comprises patients registered in all practice types; new GMS(17J), 17C, and all 2C and Admin. practice types.
2 Excludes practices which do not have registered patients and which are run directly by the NHS Boards e.g. Out of Hours Services centres
3 The calculation of average practice list size for Scotland, NHS Forth Valley, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and NHS Lothian, excludes a small number of specialist services that, by their nature, have a small patient list size.
