SMR Information Supply Forum

In recent years many parts of the NHS in Scotland have struggled to provide national returns within a timescale that was acceptable to users of these data.  In the summer of 2006 at the NSS Board Annual Review, the Health & Community Care Minister promised high level support to NSS Information Services to restore the situation.

In August 2006 a paper was submitted to the Scottish Executive Management Board that made a series of recommendations, one of which was that a national forum of NHS Board representatives was convened to discuss issues and suggest solutions.  The paper and its recommendations were accepted and Chief Executives were asked to nominate senior individuals to attend the meeting.

The meeting was held on 21st November 2006.
