Will New Ways be used to measure the cardiac (GP to intervention via Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic) and cataract patient journey?
New ways has not specifically been designed to measure patient journey however, the Community Health Index (CHI) number along with other key data items within the New Ways dataset , such as speciality, procedure, referral dates, and a 'flag' for waiting time standards may enable linkage of components which in turn will identify patient journeys.
