General Practice - Quality & Outcomes Framework
2006/07 Achievement summaries and prevalence at practice level

tables summarising individual practice achievements in 2006/07 against the QOF as a whole, achievement against groups of QOF indicators, and reported register sizes/prevalence rates. Achievement within individual indicators is presented on separate pages.
Please note:
-
Practices within the former NHS Argyll & Clyde (dissolved after 31st March 2006) are included under their new Board - NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, or the enlarged NHS Highland.
-
It is essential to take note of each practice's contract type. In particular, practices with section 2c or 17c contract types may use only some of the QOF indicators, as part of their own, individualised, quality framework. Where this is the case, recorded achievement under QOF may appear relatively low, but this should not be taken to mean that such practices are not providing a high level of service to their patients.
-
For some practices it may be impossible to achieve all the points available in the framework. For example, some of the clinical indicators relate to very specific subgroups of patients, and if the practice does not have any patients in that particular subgroup, they cannot score any points against the relevant indicator(s).
-
Data are shown for those practices whose points and payments were signed off (or finalised prior to sign-off) at 1st August 2007. QOF achievement points and payments remain to be agreed for some practices. Additionally, it is possible that further small adjustments may be made for practices whose data have been signed off.

*As Learning Disabilities and Obesity are each covered by a single indicator, achievement in these areas is presented separately, in tables at individual indicator level. The same applies for holistic care points.
