We do our data validation for SMRs locally, yet under New Ways data validation is done centrally - why the change?

Although the data validation for SMRs is run locally, the data validation itself is actually supplied by ISD so effectively SMR validation is already centrally managed - it just that the computer it runs on is located somewhere in your board area.  In effect therefore, the only change between how SMR and New Ways validation is run is basically the location of the computer.
