Sexually Transmitted Infections diagnosed in Genito-urinary Medicine clinics (last updated July 08)

This annual update includes information on sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and workload in Scottish GUM clinics during 2007.

Teenage Pregnancy (last updated June 08)

This annual updates includes statistical information on teenage pregnancies based on age at conception, with the most recent information representing conceptions in 2006.  The release includes data by NHS Board of residence and Local Council Area for age groups <16, <18 and <20.

Abortion Statistics Scotland 2007 (last updated May 08)

The Abortion update contains information on notifications, to the Chief Medical Officer for Scotland, of terminations of pregnancy under the Abortion Act 1967 up to year ending 31 December 2007 (published May 08).  The release includes numbers and rates for Scotland, NHS Boards and Local Council Areas.

Scottish Sexual Health Information Reports

Latest report - Sexually Transmitted Infections and Other Sexual Health Information for Scotland (published Nov 07)

This is the third annual report produced by the Sexually Transmitted Infection Epidemiology Advisory Group (STIEAG).  These reports are published jointly by Health Protection Scotland and ISD, and amalgamate GUM and laboratory data.  In this latest report, we have introduced data relating to other aspects of sexual health.

Key Clinical Indicators (KCIs) for Sexual Health Reports

'Respect and Responsibility: Strategy and Action Plan for Improving Sexual Health' highlighted the need to monitor sexual health service development both nationally and at an NHS board level.

A set of key clinical indicators (KCIs) has been developed, for which data were first published in February 2006.  The KCI reports are updated annually.

The next publication will be available at the end of September. This report looks at chlamydia, sterilisation, termination of pregnancy, HIV therapy and hepatitis B vaccination in men who have sex with men (MSM).
